Provocative Self Defense

I don't have a better term for it yet, but there are increasing opportunities for creating a situation in which self-defense becomes necessary. It started with Stand Your Ground laws, and more recently we have seen self-defense as a justification for vehicular manslaughter and the Kyle Rittenhouse trial which found that he was innocent. When you are driving your car, there has traditionally been an duty to avoid an accident, with guns there has been a duty to retreat. Those obligations are becoming less sharply defined, or easier to work around.
