SCOTUS v 8th
- SCOTUS v. 8th Amendment: https://old.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/1avkf75/the_supreme_court_is_on_the_verge_of/
Core Question: Can the government imprison people for camping on public property? If the person does not have the means to sleep somewhere else, does imprisoning them constitute cruel and unusual punishment?
I was homeless. For a total of 4 months. It's not something you can snap your fingers and fix. And that was back in 1993 when (ballpark) studio rent was $350, minimum wage was $5, and median individual worker income was around $30k.
