  • Some particular crimscum may deserve to be tortured. If you commit a sufficiently heinous act, having a small measure of that evil befall you is not unfair. The reason we, society, do not *do* those things *to them* is not because they are not deserving. It is because we should not be made to suffer the pain of doing those things to another person.
    • And if you think that doing those things to another person is not painful, please keep that to yourself, lest we begin to think that you deserve such acts.
  • How do you talk to GPT?
  • Player pianos were a very early case of machines taking jobs from human creatives.
    • Except with no creativity.
    • Just like Midjourney and GPT.

    • The ultimate in-group. But that doesn't change the lack of empathy. Treating your children different isn't wrong because you have empathy for your child. It is wrong because it shows you lack empathy for not-your-child.

  • The question I get asked by religious people all the time is, without God, what’s to stop me from raping all I want? And my answer is: I do rape all I want. And the amount I want is zero. And I do murder all I want, and the amount I want is zero. The fact that these people think that if they didn’t have this person watching over them that they would go on killing, raping rampages is the most self-damning thing I can imagine.
